Gardai arrested 19 motorists in Kildare over the bank holiday weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
29 vehicles were seized for a variety of offences, including driving without insurance, driving without tax, operating a vehicle while disqualified, and learner drivers operating vehicles unaccompanied.
Speed enforcement checkpoints were also carried out across Kildare, with several vehicles detected travelling at excessive speeds.
