Kildare Gardai have seized two vehicles, one of which hasn't been taxed for 8 years.
Naas Roads Policing Unit encountered that vehicle during a checkpoint.
It was last taxed in 2013, and its NCT expired in 2014.
It has been impounded, and fines and penalty points issued.

In a separate operation in Monasterevin, Naas RPU detected a car travelling at a speed of 153km/hr in a 120km/hr zone.
A check using the Garda mobility app revealed that car was not insured.
The vehicle was seized and proceedings have commenced.
