Gardai are warning motorists that checkpoints are mounted all over the county.
There's been a 300% increase on the average number of drink-drivers detected in Kildare in the last week.
Gardai say, in a standard week, somewhere between 3 and 4 motorists are caught over the limit.
Over the last 7 days, 12 people have been found to be drink driving.
