That's according to the INMO's latest figures.
There's been a 300% increase in the number of people on trolleys at Naas General Hospital in the last 24 hours.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation reported, on Thursday, that there were 4 admitted patients without beds at the Kildare facility.
Today, that has increased to 12 people, all of whom are being treated in the Emergency Dept.
Nationwide, there are 235 patients on gurneys, of whom 32 are in hospital wards.
University Hospital, Limerick is the worst affected by over-crowded, with 36 people on trolleys.
