37 More Jobs To Go At Intel’s Leixlip Plant As Catering Cuts Begin

Compass Ireland, the company providing food services on-site, is proposing to cut over a third of its 99 staff following reduced demand from Intel.

An additional 37 jobs are set to go at Intel’s Leixlip plant - this time among catering staff.

Compass Ireland, the company providing food services on-site, is proposing to cut over a third of its 99 staff following reduced demand from Intel.

Affected workers, according to The Journal, include catering assistants, kitchen porters and a barista. 

Staff have been offered redundancy, reduced hours, or redeployment within Compass.

The move follows Intel’s announcement last month of up to 195 job cuts at the facility.
