4,436 Kildare Drivers Hit With Fines And Penalty Points For Driving While Holding A Mobile Fine.

Almost 4,500 drivers in Kildare have been issued fines and penalty points for driving while holding a mobile phone.

That's according to data released by the acting Minister for Justice.

Of that total, 614 motorists were issued summons, or appeared in court in connection with the offence.

Breakdown by division of the number of instances in which a party was issued with a Fixed Charge Notice for the offence of driving while holding a mobile phone.
