Kildare Gardai conducted a speeding checkpoint in Duneany in recent days
7 drivers were detected speeding on the L3010 in Duneany between Kildangan and Kildare Town recently.
In a post on social media, Kildare Gardaí say they carried out high-visibility checkpoints, following complaints from residents in relation to the speed of cars in the area.
The speed limit in the area is 60km/h, with one driver recorded travelling at 99km/h and another driving at 84km/h.
All drivers were given at €160 fine and issued with three penalty points.
