A Celbridge woman has been recognised for her extraordinary dedication to her family after being named Kildare's 2026 Lidl Family Carer of the Year.
Anne Ebeling received the honour from Family Carers Ireland in recognition of the care she provides to her two sons, Lucas and Noah, who live with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Now aged 24 and 22, both require extensive daily support, with Anne helping them with everything from personal care and medication to hospital appointments and mobility needs.
Anne also helps care for her 80-year-old mother, while finding time to pursue her own passion for art, studying for a master's degree at the National College of Art and Design.
Despite the considerable demands of caring, she remains determined to ensure her sons can enjoy fulfilling lives and pursue their interests.
Family Carers Ireland praised Anne's commitment and highlighted the often unseen work carried out by thousands of carers in communities across the country.
The organisation says three in four family carers have never had a break from their caring responsibilities.
Anne's award is a proud moment for Celbridge and a reminder of the remarkable dedication of family carers throughout Kildare.
