It happened, southbound, between Newbridge and Kildare this afternoon
A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a lorry in Co Kildare.
The crash happened on the M7 southbound between Junction 12 Newbridge and Junction 13 Kildare shortly after 12.30pm this afternoon.
The woman, who was in her 40s, was taken from the scene to University Hospital Tallaght, but since passed away.
The scene has been examined by Forensic Collision Investigators and the motorway has fully reopened.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
