The bus served Maynooth, Leixlip, Lucan, Liffey Valley, Clondalkin and Tallaght
The airport hopper bus services between Maynooth, Tallaght, and Dublin Airport have been discontinued due to financial challenges, the operator has confirmed.
Airport Hopper Holdings Ltd said in a statement that it was forced to "pause operations" as of February 10th, citing the service’s "financial unsustainability" for an extended period, with passenger numbers on the routes insufficient to support the service.
The company explained that it had "exhausted all efforts" to make the service financially viable, including reducing fares to attract more passengers.
However, rising costs such as fuel, tolls, insurance, and airport charges led to the difficult decision to stop the service.
There were two distinct routes to Dublin Airport: one from Tallaght, stopping at Clondalkin and Liffey Valley, and another from Maynooth, with stops in Leixlip, Lucan, and Liffey Valley.
Airport Hopper confirmed that all staff have been informed directly and that its website has not been accepting new bookings since February 9th.
Customers with existing bookings will receive refunds.
