Almost 2,000 people are currently without power in Athy.
According to EBS's PowerCheck, 1,480 people are currently without power in Athy.
A power outage has also been reported in Blake, Allenwood, where 377 customers are affected.
Near Celbridge, in Moneycooley, 65 customers are without power.
Kildare, along with most of the country, is under an orange wind alert today as Storm Bram brings very strong to gale force southerly winds.
Air and sea travel are also affected, with flights and ferry services already impacted.
