After The Love Has Gone

Almost Half Of Drivers Under 35 Admit To Checking Apps While Driving, With Some Sending Emails

Kildare North TD and Junior Transport Minister James Lawless has urged drivers to "put away their phones and slow down this Bank Holiday Weekend."

Almost half of younger drivers have admitted to "TikTok driving" or checking apps while behind the wheel.

It comes as Kildare North TD and new Junior Minister for Transport James Lawless raises serious concern about the number of people driving under the influence of cocaine.

A road safety campaign will be launched today ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

Deputy Lawless believes more aggressive behaviour on the roads and an increase in drug use is creating a dangerous cocktail.
