The book details memories of days gone by in north west Kildare.
An 85 year old man has written a book detailing his memories of Ticknevin.
The book called 'The Call of the Grouse' was written by local Kildare man Oliver Kearney.
The book, which is 304 pages long, details the social history of the north west Kildare region of Ticknevin, Carbury and beyond.
Oliver worked on the bogs for most of his life, and remembers how the turf used to be sent by boat on the canal to Dublin.
There's a section of the book which details the different places around the area, such as the Dung Yard Road.
The author of the book Oliver Kearney, spoke with Clem Rayn on Wednesday morning's Kildare Today:
