The targeted operation will commence on the 28th March, ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend
An Garda Síochána Kildare will be commencing a significant Roads Policing Operation to keep road users safe ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
The targeted operation will begin tomorrow, Thursday 28th March and will run until Tuesday 2nd April.
The operation will include increased visibility and enforcement actions will be stepped up throughout Kildare.
Gardaí will be targeting all lifesaver offences, dangerous driving, speeding, non seatbelt wearers, distracted driving such as the use of mobile phones, and intoxicated driving.
Kildare Gardaí are urging road users to be safe this Bank Holiday weekend.
In 2023, there were 3 total road deaths in Kildare.
As of March 2024, there have been 4 road deaths in Kildare.
