An index of Kildare's holy wells is being compiled.
Kildare County Council says there are over 70 known wells in the county, but it suspects there may be many more.
KCC says "We would like to hear from anyone who knows of a well, its history, cures, traditions, pattern days and location."
Any information received will be added to the Kildare Holy Wells database, which will result in a publication and an easily accessible digital map on Heritage Maps.
