A woman is being treated in hospital for serious injuries following an assault in Newbridge.
Gardai were called to the scene at St Conleth's Car Park on the main street after 8 o'clock yesterday morning.

A source told Kfm that the woman was found with some of her clothes removed.
They said there was "blood everywhere".
It is understood that the woman may have been stabbed.
It is also understood that a delivery driver at Bradbury's cafe came across the unresponsive woman yesterday morning.
A woman who works at the cafe also saw the victim on the ground near the cafe's back door.
She had to be sent home early.
Gardai are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area between 11 o'clock on Tuesday night and 8.15 yesterday morning.
No arrests have been made and gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
