The route will run five return trips Monday to Saturday and three on Sundays.
TFI Local Link will launch Route 888 between Athy and Allenwood on June 3rd.
The service is part of the NTA’s Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan.

The new route will offer a new public transport connection to Lullymore Heritage Park and will offer improved connectivity to the villages and areas of Rathstewart, Kilberry North & South, Kildangan, Monasterevin, Mountrice Cross, Tullylost Cross, Mullantine, Ard Mhuire, Rathangan, Newtown and Lullymore.
It will also offer peak time and evening services, improving connectivity to regional bus services and to Athy and Monasterevin train stations.
