Attack On Man In Tallaght "Not" A Reflection Of "Horrified" Locals, Says Community Group Organiser

Footage on social media shows a man in the area covered in blood.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into an alleged assault in Tallaght.

It happened on Parkhill Road at around 6 o'clock on Saturday evening.

A man in his 40's was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.

According to the Irish Times, a group claimed that the man had been acting inappropriately around children.

Those claims were then spread online.

Gardai told the publication that there is no truth to those accusations.

Laura O'Reilly, organiser of Dublin South West Together, said it's not a reflection of the community as locals are horrified.
