The Health Minister says the contractor BAM, headquartered in Kill, will be held to account for delivering the new National Children’s Hospital on time.
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill criticised the way work is being carried out, saying it isn’t happening in a logical or sequential way.
The number of contractors on site has halved - down from nearly 900 at the end of last year to about 400.
The hospital, costing more than €2 billion, is due to open to patients next year, though there are growing doubts about the September completion date announced in May.
