Bereaved fathers are being encouraged to talk about their experience.

Speaking on Kildare Focus, Tony Owens from Féileacáin Fathers explained how the football team of the association has been a vital outlet for men.

The group helps father process that aftermath of stillbirth or neonatal death.

Owens said women are more vocal about their experience, whereas men tend to bottle them up.

He lost his son, Arthur, in October 2013.
