Ciara Galvin is the new Leas Cathaoirleach
The Celbridge-Leixlip Municipal District has appointed Councillor Bernard Caldwell as Cathaoirleach and Councillor Ciara Galvin as Leas Cathaoirleach of the Municipal District Committee, at their annual meeting today.
Already this month, Social Democrats Cllr. Bill Clear was appointed Mayor of Naas, with Independent Cllr. Seamie Moore as Deputy.
In the Clane-Maynooth MD, Fine Gael's Tim Durkan is now Cathaoirleach, while Labour's Angela Feeney will serve as Deputy.
In the Athy MD, Fianna Fail's Veralouise Behan was appointed Cathaoirleach and Labour's Mark Leigh as Deputy.
The Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District appointed Councillor Noel Heavey as Cathaoirleach and Councillor Anne Connolly as Leas Cathaoirleach.
