A man in his late teens has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal assault of Ryan Weir Gibbons in Kildare town on Sunday, 26th October.

The man is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Kildare area.
The victim was found unresponsive on McGee Terrace at around 3:15am on the 26th of October and later died in hospital.
A post-mortem examination has been completed, but Gardaí say the results will not be released for operational reasons.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the Magee Terrace area between 2:00am and 4:00am on the morning of the assault, or who may have dash-cam or other video footage, to contact them.
