Calls have been made by a local representative, for a wheelchair parking space to provided outside the main shop in Rathangan.
Cllr Anne Connolly asked that the council put in place a disabled parking bay outside Londis Supermarket, New Street.
Kildare County Council has said the Roads Design team will carry out a survey of this location to ascertain its suitability for a disabled parking bay.
It said any works are subject to funding being available within the Municipal District.
