Free recycling day took place in Kilcullen earlier this month
There are calls to extend the popular Mattress and Sofa Amnesty to other facilties in Kildare.
It follows Kildare County Council’s free mattress recycling day which took place at the Silliot Hill Civic Amenity Centre, in Kilcullen earlier this month.
A double mattress usually cost €30 to recycle.
Labour Councillor Mark Leigh will ask if the Athy Amenity Centre will be included in the next mattress and sofa amnesty, at Monday’s meeting of the Athy Municipal District.
