Local representatives and campaigners are demanding the government sets out the plans for DART Plus, to Maynooth, and Metro North.
It follows reports the projects could be delayed for several years.
They were due to be completed by 2027, but now may not be ready until 2032 to 2034.
Chairperson of the Commuter Coalition, Kevin Carter, says it will cost more to delay the projects than pressing ahead with them as planned
