The club is appealing for support from local businesses and the wider Kildare community
Castledermot GAA are appealing for help in purchasing 15 acres of prime land across from their club.
It is a small club in South Kildare with an equally small pitch and grounds. Fielding 29 teams from under 6 to senior, its current set up is not fit for the growing club.
The land in question is understood to be in receivership and is due to be sold at auction this week.
Speaking to Kfm, Chairman Dan O' Keefe said finance is their biggest trouble.
"Ground in Castledermot has made up to €37,000 per acre in the last couple of years," he explained.
Local people, who would usually be interested in land, have said they will not be bidding against the GAA, explained O'Keefe.
A GoFundMe has been set up by locals in an attempt to raise vital funds, Donate Here.
