Christmas Power Cut Ban Announced - Opposition Says It Doesn’t Go Far Enough

In the Dáil this afternoon, opposition parties criticised the Government for not doing enough to help people struggling to pay their energy bills.

The Energy Minister says a disconnections moratorium will run through the Christmas period.

Darragh O'Brien says hardship funds are in place and there is a ban on disconnections from December 8th to January 16th.
