County Kildare LEADER Partnership has tendered a "Placemaking Plan" for the Barrow Blueway
The Blueway is a 46 kilometre route, along the Grand Canal which runs from Lowtown/Robertstown to Athy, and veers in to parts of Laois.
Its a multi-use cycling and walking trail.
The placemaking plan is a global approach to the planning, design, implementation and management of public spaces.
CKLP is seeking a contractor to create the plan which acknowledges the area's "spatial, visual, and technical detail" and the fact it is a "corridor which connects communities, places, and experiences."
