He says this audit should include input from local residents.
There are calls for "comprehensive" audit of all quarries and pits in county Kildare.
Sinn Fein Councillor, Noel Connolly, wants Kildare County Council then to include them on its register of quarries.
This, he says, should include "all others which Kildare County Council have any knowledge of"
It is with a view to "stopping illegal or unauthorised activity"
The councillor says that KCC should, as part of its review, "invite input from local residents about quarrying activity in their area."
The motion comes before the monthly meeting of the council, on Monday.
