Tenants have contacted Kfm Radio, saying they are now being informed they do not have the right to purchase their homes.
There is a disparity between the understanding of many Housing Association tenants and respective directors as to the former's right of access to ownership of their homes.
Some long-standing housing association tenants have contacted Kfm Radio, saying their understanding on taking up their tenancy was that a right to purchase their home would come to exist.
However, it has emerged that tenants are, in some cases, being told by those running the relevant housing association that they do not have a right of purchase.
Independent Kildare Newbridge Municipal District Councillor, Fiona McLoughlin Healy, has been speaking to Kildare Today.
Cllr. McLoughlin Healy joined Clem Ryan on Friday's edition of the programme.
