Proposal for information signs in Kilcock, Maynooth & on the Royal Canal Greenway.
There are calls for the installation of information boards to boost tourism in parts of North Kildare.
Kildare County Council is being called upon to erect the boards "as part of the upgrading of the Harbour Field Maynooth and the Harbour in Kilcock".
Proposer, Fine Gael Cllr., Tim Durkan, says these boards should show "heritage sites, eateries, cycle repair shops and all other businesses in each respective town".
It is, he says "to encourage tourism from the Royal Canal Greenway into Maynooth and Kilcock".
His motion will be debated at the May meeting of the Clane Maynooth Municipal District on Friday.
