Almost 25,000 households in Kildare benefitted from the first tranche of cost-of-living support payments made by the Government last week.
According to the Department of Social Protection, some 14,000 households received the €300 fuel allowance, while 8,773 were recipients of the €400 disability support grant.
A further 2,047 households in the county benefitted from the €400 lump sum working family payment.
The supports come as part of Budget 2024, and will be followed up with further payments in the coming weeks.
