The Chief Medical Officer is being called on to explain his stance on antigen testing.

Numerous experts have advocated for their use but NPHET has been critical of them.

Politicians from the Oireachtas Transport Committee want Tony Holohan to appear before them and explain his opposition to the use of the tests.

Professor Paul Moynagh from Maynooth University supports their use.

Professor says a recent report endorsed their use.
