Co. Kildare's 14 Day Covid-19 Incidence Rate Now Above National Average

Over 3,000 people in the county diagnosed with the virus in the 2 weeks to Wednesday

Co. Kildare's Covid-19 incidence rate is now higher than the national average.

Over 3,025 people in the county were diagnosed with the virus, in the 2 weeks to midnight on Wednesday.

The county's 14 day incidence rate now stands at 1359.5 cases, per 100,000 of the population.

The national rate is 1310.1.

Counties Offaly, Leitrim & Sligo are the only counties with an incidence rate below 1000.

Co. Carlow has the highest rate in Ireland, at 1,955.

Parts of Dublin are experiencing the highest virus rates, nationally.

The 14-day incidence rate for the Donaghmede local electoral area stands at 2,185 per 100,000 people - the highest in the state.

5 LEAs in Dublin are among the country's 10 worst affected.

Rush-Lusk, Swords, Ongar and Blanchardstown-Mulhuddard all feature.
