The county's 14 day virus incidence rate continues to increase, now standing at 1,424.2 cases, per 100,000 people.
The national incidence rate is below that of Kildare, at 1,314.9 cases, per 100,000 of the population.
62,612 infections were recorded nationally, in the 2 weeks to Sunday.
Co. Carlow has the highest virus incidence rate at 2,162.2, followed by Westmeath (1,909.4) & Longford (1,619.7).
Counties Limerick, Leitrim & Mayo all have incidence rates below 1000.
