Some businesses have been forced to close or reduce their hours
These images show the aftermath of a water pipe that has burst twice since February.
The old asbestos pipe, which serves Maynooth, Kilcock, Clane, Ardclough and a number of other areas, is causing major headaches for locals and business owners.
Uisce Éireann is now being asked to attend the next Maynooth Municipal District (MD) meeting to explain what its plans are to address the issue.
Cllr Tim Durkan said the pressure is building at night time and that it needs to be replaced.
He said some businesses have been forced to close their shops as a result of the pipe bursting.
