Questions have also been raised about whether or not it will have green spaces and how traffic and parking will be taken into account.
An information event on the proposed mixed tenure residential development at Rickardstown, Newbridge will be held at Newbridge Town Hall on Thursday, 27th March from 4pm to 7pm.
The meeting was called following a number of concerns on whether or not the development will put too much strain on local services.
Questions have also been raised about whether or not it will have green spaces and how traffic and parking will be taken into account.
Social Democrats Cllr Chris Pender, who requested the meeting, said "poorly planned developments without the right infrastructure and amenities can create long-term issues for residents".
He said the event will help to determine if the development is "right" for Newbridge.
The drop-in event will provide the public with details about the development, which includes 136 residential units, with a mix of 40 affordable homes and 96 social homes.
Attendees can review draft drawings and 3D visuals of the project.
Council technical staff and the Design Team will be available to answer questions.
The development will also feature a creche, renewable energy design elements, and landscaping, along with pedestrian links to the nearby Roseberry Hill estate.
Kildare County Council said environmental assessments will be carried out as part of the approval process.
