Kildare County Council have given an update to the works being done
Kildare County Council have provided updates to construction works that are continuing on the Royal Canal Greenway from Leixlip to Maynooth.
Glas Civil Engineering Ltd. are continuing works from Louisa Bridge, Leixlip to Maynooth Harbour.
As part of the scheme, a number of works are ongoing and are as follows:
- A section of the towpath/greenway from Maynooth Harbour to the R406 Straffan Road, Maynooth will be closed for upgrade works from today for a number of weeks
- Section of the towpath/greenway from R406 Straffan Road, Maynooth to Pike Bridge remains closed for upgrade works.
- Upgrade works are continuing on the R406 Straffan Road at Mullen Bridge in Maynooth. Traffic management continues to be in place for these works.
- Section of the towpath/greenway from Deey Bridge to Louisa Bridge, Leixlip remains closed for upgrade works.
There has been no definitive dates given by Kildare County Council as to when these works will conclude.
