The existing agreement is set to conclude in March.
The Department of Integration has confirmed that discussions are ongoing with the current provider at Flood's Cross in Newhall, just outside Naas, regarding the status of a contract for temporary emergency accommodation.
The facility has been housing individuals and families fleeing the war in Ukraine.
The existing agreement is set to conclude in March.
A spokesperson for the Department said these discussions pertain specifically to the current arrangement for those displaced by the conflict in Ukraine.
The Department clarified that New Hall is not being considered as a site for accommodating individuals seeking international protection outside of this arrangement.
Separately, Kfm revealed today that the provider at The Avon in Blessington has expressed interest in offering accommodation for international protection applicants following the termination of its current arrangement for Ukrainian residents.
While efforts are being made to offer follow-on accommodation to displaced Ukrainians, logistical challenges mean moves may result in people being relocated far from their current homes.
In Carlow, Ukrainian residents living at Tougher's Restaurant just outside Castledermot are also expected to be moved out of the accommodation at the end of this month.
