The review looks at social housing needs in the county, and relevant applicants will receive a form in the coming days
Kildare County Council has started the Summary of Social Housing Assessments 2026.
The summary brings together information provided by local authorities on households in the area that are qualified for social housing, but whose social housing needs are not currently being met.
The review applies to housing applicants who were approved for Social Housing Supports with Kildare County Council, between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2019, and who have not updated their housing file in the past 12 months.
The council has said relevant applicants will receive a Summary of Social Housing Assessments 2026 form and an introductory letter by post in the coming days.
Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) tenants, Rental Accommodation Scheme (RAS) tenants and Local Authority or AHB transfer tenants do not need to complete this form.
Completed forms and supporting documents must be returned to Kildare County Council by Monday, 7 September 2026.
It is noted that applicants who do not return a fully completed form, together with all relevant documentation, will result in the applicant’s file being closed and the applicant will be removed from the housing list.
