Council Engages Estate Agent To Locate New Cemetery Site For Leixlip/Confey

Councillors recently highlighted how Confey cemetery is reaching capacity, with very few spaces available.

Kildare County Council has confirmed that it is actively seeking land for a new cemetery in the Leixlip/Confey area, with a local estate agent engaged to identify potential sites.

The council assured members that they would be kept informed as progress is made on securing a suitable location.

Councillors recently highlighted how Confey cemetery is reaching capacity, with very few spaces available.

The council heard how the amount of spaces being provided at the cemetery is not in line with the area's population growth.
