The council have said that the existing west bound bus stop (152361) is currently under consideration for upgrading, with anticipation that any approved upgrade works at this bus stop would be delivered in late 2027.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Independent Councillor for Kildare-Newbridge MD Pat Balfe cited the population of the area being more than 5,500 while also referencing his work with Monasterevin Access Group to have the shelter installed.
