Some contractors working on housing adaptation grant schemes have raised "concerns".
Some contractors working on Kildare County Council project have apparently raised "concerns" about the amount of time they are waiting to be paid.
According to Fine Gael Cllr., Brendan Weld, this is with specific reference to some contractors carrying out works under the Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and People with a Disability scheme.
Both funding programmes enable people to modify their homes in accordance with their needs.
The councillor wants KCC to ensure that "the payment to contractors who carry out work under the Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and People with a Disability scheme be paid within 14 days
of receiving documentation".
He says this is "given there are concerns regarding the amount of time contractors are waiting for same."
His motion will come before the September meeting of the Clane Maynooth Municipal District, on Friday.
