He was nominated by his customers
John Doyle, a postman from Newbridge, had called on everybody in Ireland to “rally together” during the coronavirus outbreak to support older and vulnerable people.
He is now the winner of the Covid Hero Award.
John was nominated by the customers on his postal rounds.
"I've a great connection with people and we look out for one another," he told.
John delivered the paper to some customers even though it wasn't part of his job.
"People were afraid to come out of their house," he said.
Hi postal round starts in Pollardstown, around to the Air Field road and ends in Ballysax..
