Concerns over safety have pushed the junction into the spotlight.
A critical junction on the Castledermot/Baltinglass road (L4015), where the by-road to Coltstown and Ballycollane intersects, could soon see major upgrades following a recent council review.
Concerns over safety have pushed the junction into the spotlight.
A newly completed safety analysis by the Department of Transport Support Office (DoTSO) has identified this location as one requiring attention.
The analysis, conducted under the Location of Interest project, forms part of a broader effort to enhance safety across regional and local roads.
The council is now considering implementing the proposed safety measures, which, if approved, will be included in the 2025 works programme.
However, the timeline remains dependent on securing necessary resources and funding.
