It follows recent illegal encampments and widespread dumping seen across the plains
Minister for Defence Helen McEntee has given an update on the situation of the Curragh plains management plan.
It follows recent illegal encampments and widespread dumping seen across the plains.
In a letter seen by Kfm News that was sent to Labour and Kildare South TD Mark Wall, Minister McEntee said that her officials have been in the High Court on "several occasions over the last few weeks seeking orders to compel the occupants from these illegal encampments to vacate the Curragh".
She added that the aim is to restrain them "from returning at either the same or different locations on the Plains".
According to Minister McEntee, her officials will return to the High Court next week, while working closely with the Chief State Solicitors Office.
She also said that there is an "ongoing cleanup in process by external contractors to minimise any damage to the Curragh lands caused by these illegal encampments".
