The Institute of International and European Affairs and Deloitte warn an armed attack on an EU member is no longer impossible.

The Defence Minister, Helen McEntee, will set out a €1.7 billion plan to modernise the Defence Forces, including new radar systems and anti-drone technology.

Defence expert, Declan Power, says there's more that can be done.
