A motorist in Kildare is facing court proceedings.

Naas Roads Policing Unit were operating a checkpoint in Celbridge when they arrested the driver after they failed a roadside breath test.

A further test at the Garda Station found them to be "well over the legal limit for consumption of alcohol"

Gardai say "Court proceedings are to follow."
