Motorist stopped at speed checkpoint faces court and mandatory driving disqualification
In Maynooth overnight, a Garda Sergeant at a speed checkpoint stopped a driver travelling at 73 kilometres an hour in a built-up area.
The motorist failed a roadside breath test, with a later evidential test showing three times the legal alcohol limit.
He has been arrested and charged, and now faces a court appearance and a mandatory driving disqualification.
