Plans to upgrade Clane’s playground have been costed at €150,000 - but Kildare County Council says the budget has yet to be identified.
The Council confirmed that only repair works have been carried out so far this year, including fixing benches, repairing the rubber surface, and maintenance on the swings and pirate ship.
However, officials say more significant improvements are needed - including a new safety play surface, a replacement pirate ship, accessible seating and picnic areas, biodiversity planting, and a sheltered teen space to encourage inclusion.
